Foreign Agricultural Resource Management Services is non-profit, federally incorporated in 1987 to facilitate and coordinate the processing of requests for foreign seasonal agricultural workers. Authorized by Human Resources Skills Development nada, F.A.R.M.S. performs an administrative role to the ribbean and Mexin Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program.

                  F.A.R.M.S. is a private sector run organization, governed by a Board of Directors, appointed from those commodity groups participating in the program.


                  SAWP 2020 LMIA APPLITIONS

                  F.A.R.M.S. is now accepting LMIA applitions for 2020 (MUST STATE JANUARY/FEBRUARY/MARCH AS THE FIRST ARRIVAL DATE).


                  REQUEST TO ARRIVE:

                  01 to 31 January 2020  - Timeframe 02July - 16August 2019

                  01 to 28 February 2020  - Timeframe 02July - 13September 2019

                  01 to 15 March 2020  - Timeframe 02July - 27September 2019

                  01 to 31 March 2020  - Timeframe 02July - 11October 2019


                  IMPORTANT NEWS - 2019 LMIA APPLITIONS

                  F.A.R.M.S. is now accepting LMIA applitions for September 2019 as the first arrival date.

                  TRANSFER LMIA APPLITIONS - Please send transfer applitions at least 6-8 weeks ahead of expected transfer date.  If you already have an approved LMIA for 2019, advertising is not required for transfer applitions.

                  Please ensure copies of the required advertising is included. All ads must show proof of the 14 day duration.

                  Housing reports and water sample (for private water sources) must be submitted with LMIA applition.  Housing must have been approved no longer than 8 months prior to the submission of the LMIA applition to Service nada.   F.A.R.M.S. may take 2-3 weeks to process the applition at peak times of the season, please keep this in mind if housing will expire soon.

                  A copy of the SAWP employment contract no longer needs to be included with the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applition. Employers are still required to have a copy of the contract on file, signed by both the employer and workers (after they arrive), in the event of an inspection.
